Bentley Parish Council are pleased to announce the re-opening of the Play Area from Friday 24th July after Coronavirus restrictions have been lifted.
There are posters in place in the Play Area with guidelines that all need to read before children use the Play Area. Children should be supervised at all times.
The Parish Council have been planning the installation of a slide to complete the equipment in the Play Area.
We are delighted that through kind donations and voluntary work by residents, we have been able to recycle, renovate and restore equipment which we feel is a great addition to the Play Area. The original equipment was inspected and a report given for work that need to be carried out to get the equipment up to the correct standard.
The equipment has been painted using 'tractor' colours - Massey Ferguson red, Fordson blue and John Deere green.
See 'before' and 'after' pictures below.
The Parish Council would like to thank -
Mark Woods for donating the equipment.
Ray Bloomfield for removing the equipment from the building site, providing materials and refurbishing the equipment to such a high standard.
Graham Cooper for helping with the renovation by supplying the wooden parts of the equipment.
Volunteers who completed the groundwork, moved and installed the equipment.
This has saved the village several thousand pounds rather than buying a new slide.
