Message from Village Playing Field Trustees re use of the Village Playing Field
Several incidents of recent anti-social behaviour have been reported to us concerning equipment owned by Maritime FC as well as general mis-use of the Playing Field.
- These include removal of protective mesh from the goal mouth nearest the storage units.
- Pulling on the goal nets and damaging the retaining clips and stretching the net itself.
- Firing footballs multiple times over and through the empty goal at the front of the container with resulting damage to things inside due to the impact.
- Antisocial acts behind the storage units, including urinating over equipment.
- Cycles being ridden over the field causing damage when the field is wet.
Some of these incidents have been recorded by CCTV equipment and monitoring will continue.
Clearly this sort of antisocial behaviour is not to be tolerated. We hope after this message, that the people involved will desist, otherwise further action will be taken.
Can we remind people that they should use the practice GOAL provided for general shooting practice AS the goal mouths of the main pitch are protected.
Cycling on the football pitches is prohibited.
