Babergh District Council and Mid Suffolk District Council are launching a second round of consultation on a new Joint Local Plan. This consultation is starting on 22nd July 2019 and will run until 4pm on 30th September 2019.
The Joint Local Plan will inform how our Districts will develop over the next 18 years. It will establish how much housing and land for businesses will be needed and where it will go, alongside protecting and enhancing the environment and delivering infrastructure.

Paper copies of the Joint Local Plan document are also available at libraries within the Districts and at the Councils’ offices for the duration of the consultation period.

Comments should ideally be submitted online via the consultation system available through the websites. Alternatively comments can be emailed to localplan@baberghmidsuffolk.gov.uk or posted to Strategic Planning Policy Team, Babergh and Mid Suffolk District Councils, Endeavour House, 8 Russell Road, Ipswich IP1 2BX. A printable comments form can be downloaded from the websites or collected from the Councils’ offices or from libraries in the Districts. Please ensure that your comments on the Joint Local Plan are received by 4pm 30thSeptember 2019.
Following this consultation, all of the comments received will be considered before the next version of the Joint Local Plan is published for further consultation.
